Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a faster write speed of a tube, by forming a target in such a manner that on the main side and the other side of a plate material with high filling factor the first and second grooves are provided to make an opening port in their crossing region and allow an electron beam to pass through this opening port. CONSTITUTION:On one main side 22a of a storage dielectric base board 30 with filling factor of almost 1 a plurality of the first grooves 24a and on the other main side 22b a plurality of the second grooves 24b are provided in such a manner as to cross each other at a right angle. Then at the cross point of the both grooves an opening port 26 is formed capable for an electron beam to pass through. While on a region of the main side 22a a thin filmed electrode 23 and on a region of the main side 22b a collector electrode 31 are provided in a striped pattern. In this way, by the reason that an impulse of electron beam performed onto a monocrystal insulator causes an emission of secondary electron and production of electron hole pair, a use of material with high filling factor as the monocrystal insulator allows the electron hole pair to follow accelerating energy of the electron beam, thus a write speed can be increased.
