Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a texture from being stained by detecting the output of a modulator as a rising time when no picture signal is inputted, and minimizing the output. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam L from a laser generator 1 is passed through an acousto-optic modulator 3, and a polygon reflecting mirror 6 to scan on a photoreceptor 9. A picture signals is inputted to the acousto-optic modulator 3 through a video amplifier 13, a modulator 12 and a power amplifier 16 to perform the optical modulation of the laser beam according to the picture signal. A signal from the modulator 12 at a halfway point is inputted, being combined with a gate signal 21, to a gate circuit 20, whose output is applied to the offset control terminal of a video amplifier 13 through a rectifying circuit 22, a holding circuit 24 and a comparator 25. Consequently, when the picture signal is not inputted, that is detected to exercise control so that carrier leakage is minimized, thereby preventing texture from being stained.
