Abstract

PURPOSE: To elevate the heat conductivity with a lowered coagulation point by providing the heat absorbing section of a heat pipe made up of a vacuum glass tube sealed with a working liquid of a heat collector employing a water solution of a salt such as calcium chloride and alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: As heat absorbing section 13 is heated, a working liquid in a heat pipe 12 is vaporized rising, undergoes a heat exchange at a radiation part 15 and returns liquified to the heat absorbing section 13. A distance 18 is provided between the heat pipe 12 and a glass tube 14 is provided to absorb a difference in the thermal expansion. The working liquid 19 uses a water solution employing a salt such as calcium chloride and sodium chloride or alcohol such as ethyl alcohol and ethylene glycole for the solute. The setting of the concentration allows a desired coagulation point while the use of water for the medium enables a higher boiling and condensing heat conductivity thereby providing a higher performance heat collector.
