Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an electrode from being melted by high temperature radiant heat in a gas turbine power generator or the like by a method wherein an igniting electrode is provided at the innermost position of a conical member of the head part of a high load combustor and cooled by gas fuel jet.
CONSTITUTION: A gas fuel supply passage 11 is provided in the central holder of a combustor head 3 and at that front end, a gas jet head 13 having several jet holes 12, 12' is provided. A conical metallic member 14 is provided at the periphery of the head 13 and small jet holes 15, 15' for the primary air are fixed aslant at the innermost position. Large jet holes 16, 16' for the primary air are fixed aslant at a position near the edge of the metallic member 14. The negative electrode 17 of the ingitor projects its point to the front of the head 13 at the central holder of the combustor head 3 and the other electrode 18 is provided so that it is projected from a cover position of the member 14 toward the electrode 17. Accordingly, the jet flow is squeezed by the jet holes 15, 15' like the barrel part of a drum and dispersed in the number 14 and the radiant heat is shielded by a drum-shaped air curtain to prevent the electrode from fusing.
