Abstract

PURPOSE:A rubber composition with large kinetic friction coefficient and small stress relaxation suitable for a rubber belt for driving a light electrical appliance, which is obtd. by mixing a rubber with a staple fiber undirectionally orientated by adhesive treatment and forming tiny cells within the rubber. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. Rubber is mixed with 2-60pts.wt. highly strong and flexible staple fiber of diameter 2-100mu and aspect ratio 100-300 such a a cellulose or polyamide fiber unidirectionally orientated by adhesive treatment and tiny cells are formed within the rubber, to prepare the purpose rubber composition. The tiny cells are formed by use of a foaming agent or by the admixture of tiny hollow spherules of a thermoplastic material, etc., which are obtd. by preparing a particle contg. a vaporizable material and heating the particle.
