Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve fuel efficiency with an air conditioner whose compressor is stopped during accelertion, by stopping the compressor from the time when detected negative pressure becomes lower than a prescribed level in a pescribed period, to the time when the detected negative pressure exceeds the prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:When negative pressure has become lower than a prescribed level, a negative pressure switch 18 is turned on and tansistor 23 is turned off and another transistor 24 is turned on by the output of a differentiation circuit composed of a capacitor 26 and a resistor R1, so that another capacitor 25 is discharged. After the discharge, the capacitor 25 is charged through a resistor R4. A compressor 1 is kept out of operation, by the output of an operational amplifier 22 till the timer- set time when the potential of the capacitor 25 reaches a prescribed level. When the negative pressure switch 18 is turned off within a prescribed period determined in terms of the timer-set time, an electricity supply circuit including a diode D is closed to lower the potential of the positive side of the operational amplifier 22 to drive the compressor 1 through a relay 26.
