Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of folds perfectly by forming a thick part on the outer periphery by bending and welding the rim of outer periphery of a thin plate or attaching a rim plate and pressing the outer periphery of the thick part with a blank holder, and drawing or ironing the inner periphery of the thick part and the thin part inside of it.
CONSTITUTION: The outer periphery of a blank 3 is bent along a curve C-C, and the gap of excess metal blanking part 7 is eliminated and brought into close contact. A spot weld zone 11 is provided at the tip of excess metal blanking part 7 and a seam weld zone 13 is provided at the center of bent part in longitudinal direction. The doubled part is welded at the spot weld zone 11 and seam weld zone 13 to obtain a forming blank 14 that has a thick part 15 on the outer periphery. Next, the outer periphery 21 of the thick part 15 of the forming blank 14 is pressed from above and below with upper and lower blank holders 17, 19 of a press machine, and the inner periphery 23 of the thick part 15 and the thin part 29 inside of it are drawn or ironed with a punch 27 or a die 29.
