Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise thehigh-band reproducing limit of a plane speaker, by driving plural plane diaphragms from the same voice coil bobbin through plural vibration transfer systems different in vibration transfer characteristic to one another. CONSTITUTION:A driving cone 5 constitutes the first vibration transfer system which transfers the piston motion of a voice coil 4 to a plane diaphragm 1, and a voice coil bobbin 7 constitutes the second vibration transfer system which transfers the vibration to a plane diaphragm 1a. The diaphragm 1a is supported to the plane diaphragm 1 by an edge 6. The drive cone 5 and the voice coil bobbin 7 are different to each other in vivration transfer characteristic, namely, high-band transfer limit frequency, and all plane diaphragms 1 and 1a are driven in a low frequency band, but in a high sound band, the plane diaphragm 1a is driven through the vibration transfer system of a higher high-band transfer limit frequency, namely, the voice coil bobbin 7.
