Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a parallel impedance between communication lines approximately constant for increment and reduction of the number of terminal equipments of multibranch connection, by connecting an impedance variable element between two communication lines. CONSTITUTION:A center equipement 10 and many terminal equipments 12, 13, 14... are connected by two communication lines 18. A common automatic controller 11 is inserted between the center equipment and terminal equipments. The common automatic controller 11 consists of an impedance variable element 15, an amplitude detector 16, and an amplitude control part 17 connected between two communication lines 18. When the number of terminal equipments is increased or reduced, the level between communication lines 18 is changed, and this change is detected by the amplitude detector 16, and the differential signal for a reference set level is given to the impedance variable element 15 through the amplitude control part 17, thus making the parallel impedance between communication libes 18 constant approximately.
