Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent lowering of deoxigenating capacity even if a deoxigenating agent is pressured for a long period in a condition of an aqueous solution by a method wherein a specific wt. of reductive saccharides are added to a specific amount of an alkali metal sulfite to form an aqueous solution and the resulting solution is used as the deoxigenating agent of boiler water or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Reductive saccharides such as glucose, dextrin, sodium ascorbate or the like are added to 100pts.wt. alkali metal sulfite as an anhydrous salt in an amount of 0.05W20pts.wt. to form an aqueous solution and the obtained aqueous solution is used as a deoxigenating composition. The resulting stable aqueous deoxigenating composition is prepared by a method wherein reductive saccharides are added to a preliminarily prepared 1W10wt% aqueous solution of an alkali metal sulfite in a solid form or as an aqueous solution in a predetermined wt. ratio and, thereafter, stirring and mixing are carried out or a solid alkali metal sulfite and a solid reductive saccharides are preliminarily mixed in a predetermined wt. ratio and the resulting mixture is dissolved in water.
