Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a reinforced optical fiber without causing eccentricity and micro bent, by making the optical fiber free at least until a resin is half cured through a method wherein a glass fiber and the optical fiber are introduced to a heat molding machine while the glass fiber at the outer periphery of the optica fiber is being impregnated with a resin.
