Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to rapidly separate a fine particle or the like from a water suspension by providing plural buffer plates to a non-rotary raw water introducing pipe inserted into a rotary drum by hanging the same therefrom by an individual hanger.

CONSTITUTION: Raw water is poured in a non-rotary raw water introducing pipe 15 inserted into a slowly rotating rotary drum 1 from a pouring member H and fallen into a water flooding tank 21 from a leading end of said pipe 15. Next, the raw water in the tank 21 is transferred into stagnent water in the drum and, thereafter, dammed by each buffer plates 23W25 to precipitate a fine particle therein. A precipitate such as said precipitated and separated fine particle or the like is accumulated in a groove 7 of a spiral blade 6 as well as conveyed to a righthand side by said blade 6 and scraped up to an upward direction by a terminal end part 8 of the spiral blade 6. Next, the precipitate in this condition is transferred onto a scrape-up blade 13 as well as slidably fallen along an outer peripheral surface of a ring like mirror plate toward a central direction of the drum and, finally, while slidably fallen along an outer peripheral surface of a conical body, discharged to the outside from a discharge part 5.
