Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the development cost of a software by setting a program starting value and an interrupt-program starting address value in both an incorporated and an external program memory. CONSTITUTION:When the switch 28 of a modification-control-signal generating means 6 is closed, the starting address value 1a of a program stored in an incorporated ROM3 and the starting address value 2a of an interrupt program are sent to a program counter 8. With the switch 28 open, a program starting address value 1b and an interrupt program starting address value 2b set in an external program memory 4 are transferred to the program counter 8. The incorporated ROM3 is selected according to the address value of the program counter 8 and the values are set in the incorporated ROM3 or an external memory 4. Therefore, the program in the corporated ROM3 is executed regardless of the program starting address value and interrupt program starting address value.
