Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide high reliability for a turbine speed detector and improve withstandness against vibration by molding a coil in the wall of a compressor housing into a whole and embedding a magnet in a nut tightened at the end of a turbine rod.
CONSTITUTION: A turbine wheel 2 and a compressor wheel 4 are tightened with a nut 6 to the both ends of the same turbine rod 5. A coil 8 wound about a core 10 is molded in a semi-annular groove 7 in a wall of a compressor housing 3. A permanent magnet is embedded in the nut fixed to the end of the turbine rod. A rotation speed signal free from an effect of an ignition noise can be accurately taken out from the coil. In addition, the coil successfully withstands vibration, that is, its withstandness against vibration may be improved.
