Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately give the combination of reduction ratios by reducing ununiformity of rolling caused by irregularity of materials, by dividing plural stands into ≥2 groups, and by calculating the standard reduction ratio by combining logarithmic stains corresponding to the respective groups with the aid of statistical data from the whole logarithmic strains.
CONSTITUTION: The whole logarithmic strains of materials to be rolled are calculated by the preset thicknesses of a thick sheet and a finished sheet, and plural stands are divided into ≥2 groups such as upper stream side and down stream side, and then the logarithmetic strains of the rolling materials corresponding to each group are calculated respectively from said whole logarithmetic strains based on statistical data under the stable actual operation. Further, the logarithmic strain of the material for the stand in each group is calculated from that of the group based on said statistical data to calculate the standard reduction ratio of the stand. Next, standard value of tension between the stands is calculated from the standard reduction ratio of the stands, the thickness of an original sheet and a finished sheet, and carbon equivalent to modify the standard reduction ratio and standard value of tension according to the actual operating results of working rolls for each stand, and then, from this modified values, the screw down position and roll rotating speed are set by the model of well-known numerical equation.
