Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely pickle a wire coil, even its mutual contact parts to which a pickling solution is not easily applied, by vibrating the wire coil while periodically changing the vibration frequency in a range including the natural frequency, to cause the wire coil to resonate during the pickling. CONSTITUTION:Wire coils 1 are bound with bundling wires 2 and hung from a C- shaped hook 5 extending from a beam 4 over a pickling vessel 3, so that the coils 1 are dipped in the pickling solution 6 in the vessel 3. The coils 1 are vertically oscillated by a vibrator 9 on the beam 4. When the diameter of the coiled wire is about 5.5-15.0mm. and that of the coils 1 is about 900-1,200mm., the bending natural frequency of each wire ring is about 7 to 17Hz. The frequency of the oscillation by the vibrator 9 is made changeable in the range of said bending natural frequency. When the oscillation frequency is equalized to the bending natural frequency of each wire ring of the coils 1 during the change of the oscillation frequency, the wire rings resonate.
