Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat transfer type heat sensitive recorder wherein an OHP sheet coated with a kind of solid ink, which is dissolved or sublimed by heat, directly copies or receives and records picture informations as it is caused to pass through between a thermal head and a back roll for heat transfer. CONSTITUTION:An OHP sheet 1 consisting of a sheet of trasparent base paper 1A and a layer of colored and opaque ink applied on one side thereof 1B is caused to pass through between a thermal head 2 and a back roll 3 in the direction of an arrow 4. The thermal head 2 is applied with video signals and it generates heat at portions of picture elements where white picture information exists and supplies heat to those corresponding portions of the base paper 1A. Portions of ink layer 1B1, 1B2 etc. applied on the heated portions of the base paper 1A are heat trasferred to the surface of the back roll 3, and portions of ink layer 1B1, 1B2 etc. are heat dissolved or sublimed by a blade 6, scraped off from the surface of the back roll 3 and recovered into a container 7.
