Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve braking control efficiently in case of braking of an electric vehicle by a method wherein a currnt pattern of a main motor is risen after detecting that the main motor current is built up exceeding a specified current value.
CONSTITUTION: Following a braking instruction a current patternIp' of a low current is transmitted by a fixed pattern generator 12 and a main motor currentIM is at first risen toward this pattern. When the main motor currentIM exceeds the specified value to which the main motor current IM is estimated to be enough risen a signal is transmitted by a comparator 11 and the main motor currentIM is controlled by a current patternIP which is based upon a specified valueIpp produced by a normal current pattern genertor 13. With above method overshoot of the main motor current is eliminated even in case of braking at the low speed so that the good braking operation can be obtained.
