Abstract

The ceramic-porous body produced in a way such as, by sticking a ceramic paste to a flexible polyurethane foam having no cell-film and by sintering them, is preferable; and the rate of the number of internally communicated spaces to be formed per one inch is necessary to be 31W150. The bulk density of said porous body is preferably to be formed to 0.25W0.5. Further, a forming of an active alumina layer covering a latticed surface of the ceramic porous body is preferable for exhaust gas of a comparatively low temp. diesel engine.
