Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent residual toner from scattering by starting toner suction blower prior to the start of a fur brush for cleaning and stopping the blower after stopping the said fur brush. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 is charged by a charger 2 and exposed to an original image through 3 to form an electrostatic latent image. This latent image is fixed by a fixing device after a developing device 4 forms a toner image and a transfer separating device 5 transfers the toner image to transfer paper. Residual toner on the drum is destaticized by a destaticizer 6 and then scaped off with the fur brush 7a of a cleaning device to be sucked by a blower 7e, thereby collecting it through a filter 7d at a halfway point. At this time, the blower is started prior to the start of the fur brush and the blower is stopped after stopping the fur brush, preventing the residual toner form scattering and forming an accumulation in an air passage.
