Abstract
PURPOSE: To combine two secondary air controls into one for two timings of a start of a cold engine and an idling in an internal combustion engine wherein a fuel injection is electronically controlled, by parallelly disposing the first and second electro-magnetic valves used for controlling a secondary air in a secondary air passage.
CONSTITUTION: A controller is settled in a secondary air passage 23 which bypasses a throttle valve 22 in an air intake port, operating in such a manner that a solenoid 4 is excited in response to the first driving pulse supplied for a connector 9 to open a control port 3 in a valve body 12 and similarly, in response to the second driving pulse, another control port 3 in a valve body 19 is opened. The driving pulses, frequency pulses which depend on engine speeds and are detected by a speed sensor, are shaped in the form of voltage signals by converting a frequency into a voltage. The first driving pulse is provided in such a manner that on the basis of an output given after a comparison of a detected cooling water temperature and a speed signal, a control signal P1 is generated and converted in the first driving pulse. A thermal signal is converted into the second driving pulse after a logarithmic conversion.
