Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to handle the captioned washing apparatus in a simple manner even at a remote place such as the roof of a house and to operate it accurately without trouble by a method wherein a washing brush is moved by pressurized water and the resultant drain water is used as washing water.
CONSTITUTION: The pressurized water enters a cylinder 1 from a first cylinder pipe 6 and pushes up a piston 2 so that a washing rod 13 is moved upward along a glass cover for a solar heat hot water boiler 12 and the brush 13a rubs the surface of the glass cover. Simultaneously with the above operation, the water above the piston 2 is forced out to reach a transfer pipe 10 through a change-over valve 8 via a second cylinder pipe 7 and is sprayed over the surface of the glass cover through a spray pipe 11 to thereby wash the glass cover with the brush 13a. Thus, when the arrival of the piston 2 at the upper end of the cylinder 11 is detected, a cock 8b is switched and the pressurized water lowers the piston 2 to move the washing rod 13 downward so that the back water enters the transfer pipe 10 via the first clinder pipe 6 and is sprayed through the spray pipe 11 in a repetitive fashion.
