Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit a uniform tension to be applied and enhance reliability of resistance against explosion, by using a steel band plated with zinc of minute particle, whose average roughness on ten points of said band measured with a surface- roughness-meter under the specific condition can stay in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:When the surface roughness is lowered in a surface plated with zinc, friction is reduced on an electron tube corner portion, irrespective of the kind of plating liquid, and there is no necessity for drawing with an excessive tension, so that its limit is measured with a surface roughness-meter, under the condition that the capacity of measurement of a probe is 0.3-0.4g and a pointed terminal size is 3-5muR and a steel band is plated with zinc of minute particles, an average roughness on ten points of said band being below 5.0mu. Thereby, a clamping force which varies scarcely mat be obtained and reliability of resistance against explosion may be enhanced.
