Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement with a compact size of the device by measuring the displacement of the offset section of an electric cable with a measuring device including two potentiometers with reduced displacement amount by a pantograph connected at a fixed point. CONSTITUTION:A fixed point C is determined on a cable C with a clamping band 9 thereof. As a fixed point P moves to P', the reduction point T of a pantograph having a stationary point at Q shifts to T'. The displacement can be measured with a measuring device D. In response to the displacement, a force is applied on an engaging piece 22 to expand sliding rods 15 and 16 of potentiometers 13 and 14 so that displacement in the X axis and the Y axis will be converted into a quantity of electricity. This makes the apparatus compact while facilitating the measurement.
