Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve efficient operation of an engine used for driving a pressure fluid source for a construction machine or the like, by employing an engine speed control device in which the engine speed is controlled according to the amount of pressure fluid supplied into aan actuator of a cylinder or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When an electric instruction to an electromagnetic control section 13 of an electromagnetic flow control valve 8 is increased after shifting, for instance, a changeover valve 5 to a left position 5a under the state that an engine 1 is in its idling operation with changeover valves 5, 6 being kept at their neutral position, a second control valve 8a is opened according to the value of said electric instructon, so that the pressure difference on the opposite sides of a differential pressure valve 9 is increased. Resultantly, such an amount of fluid as corresponds to the above instruction value is discharged from a pump 2 into a pressure chamber 4a of cylinder 4 via a fluid supply circuit 12 and the changeover valve 5. At the same time, fluid pressure on the opposite sides of the differential pressure valve 9 are supplied respectively to pressure chamber 11a, 11b of the control cylinder 11, and a rod 15a is moved in the direction A in response to the pressure difference of the two chambers 11a and 11b, so that the speed of engine 1 is increased.
