Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve sealing effect of a drumlike container by tightening the body and cover and making tightening of 7 layers, i.e. one layer at rising part of the cover, two layers at the flange part and 4 layers at the end of the body, in the same manner as convertional 5 layers.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body 10 is beforehand and its end is turned up outward by 180° and curled outward to form two-layer end part 10b. A sealing agent 15 is applied on the inner face of the flange part 14b of a cover that has a rising part 14a and a flange part 14b, and the rising part 14a is fitted to the inner face of the body 14. While turning up the two-layer end part 10b of the body together with the flange part 14b of the cover 14 outward by 180° with a rotary pressing roller 16, the tip of the flange part 14b is rolled in to its inside. Further, after turning up with a rotary pressing roller 17, the rolled two-layer end part 10b and the flange part 14b are pressed from the direction of width to adhere closely, and 7-layer tightening is effected.
