Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a puncture sealing layer having required thickness and width effectively, by introducing a puncture sealing material into an air inflated tire that is rotating with its rotational axis being horizontal, and by forming into a required thickness by means of a scraper.
CONSTITUTION: The outer surface of a tire 11 is brought into contact with two drum-shaped rollers 8 thus holding the tire in a standing position. A scraper 22 is provided inside of the tire 11, and its groove 24 and inner surface of the tire is kept at a required distance 25. Then the rollers 8 are rotated thus rotating the tire at around its axial line, and an adhesive puncture sealing material 19 is heated and supplied to the inner surface of the tire 11 in such a way that its width is narrower than the final width. The material passed through the clearance 25 is spread in the both axial and radial directions, thus forming a continuous puncture sealing layer on the inner surface of the tire 11.
