Abstract
PURPOSE:To constitute a terminal station in a place having no external power source, by transmitting power to terminal stations through a light wave director. CONSTITUTION:An input light 101 of the first input light mode is given to optical electromotive force elements 131, 132, and 133 through a light wave director 111, an optical switch 121, a light wave director 112, and a branching filter 122 by light wave directors 113, 114, and 115. Outputs of elements 131-133 charge a storage battery 134. A part of the input light 101 is applied to a reporting device 143 from a photodetector 141 during calling from the other-party station. Thus, the optical switch 121 is switched to the light wave director 117 side, and the input light is folded by a modulator 161 and is returned as an output light 102. The other-party station receives this returned light, and as the result, the input light 101 of the second input light mode is transmitted and is received by a receiving device 153. Power for these operations is supplied from the storage battery 134. Therefore, a terminal station is constituted even in a place having no external power source.
