Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve dynamic characteristics such as overshoot by superposing the output signal of a logarithmic amplifier on a linear signal component.
CONSTITUTION: Signals supplied to input terminal 11 are fed to an amplifier 31 through an impedance circuit 12. The output of the amplifier 31 is fed to the base of a transistor 20 by passing through a rectifier circuit which consists of diodes 15 and 16 and an inverter 17. Diodes 32∼35 form a logarithmic amplifier together with the amplifier 31 and they are driven by an attenuator which consists of resistors R1 and R2. In this case, if input signal voltage e1 becomes large, lowering of voltage caused by the resistor R1 becomes large and this voltage is superposed on a logarithmic waveform. Consequently, overshoot can be reduced.
