Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically obtain the optimum level of input for an A/D converter, by exercising level control of an analog signal by the inverse numerical value of the peak value of the analog signal when a reproduced analog signal is turned into a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:When the voice analog signal reproduced through a tape recorder 1 is supplied to a digital coefficient device 2a, the aural signal receives the wave detection through a wave detecting circuit 6 via the device 2a to be turned into the absolute value. The output of the circuit 6 is applied to a peak value detecting circuit 7. Then the circuit 7 detects the peak value within a prescribed period of time, and the peak value signal is applied to a coefficient control circuit 8. Thus the circuit 8 reduces the coefficient of the device 2a when the peak value given from the circuit 7 is set at a high level and increases the coefficient when the peak value is set at a low level respectively. In such a way, the coefficient of the device 2a is automatically varied in accordance with the peak value to exercise level control.
