Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI[X is halogen; R is phenyl, formula II, III (Z is H, methyl, methoxy), formula IV, V].
EXAMPLE: β-Trichlorogermylpropionic acid cyclohexylamide.
USE: Antimicrobial.
PREPARATION: For example, 1mol of β-trihalogenogermylpropionic chloride of formula VI is made to react with 2mol of a primary amine of NH2-R such as cyclohexylamine at room temperature or under cooling. Liberating hydrogen chloride and amine hydrochloride are removed to give the compound of formulaI.
