CONSTITUTION:A methylene chloride composition having remarkably stability is prepared by compounding methylene chloride with 0.01-1.0wt% of propylene oxide, 0.001-1.0wt% of 1,4-dioxane, 0.0001-0.01wt% of a dialkylamine, 0.01-1.0wt% of a lower alcohol, 0.001-1.0wt% of amylene, and if necessary, 0.001-1.0wt% of nitromethane. The composition has improved stability against the deterioration by oxidation, thermal decomposition, hydrolysis, etc. under severe conditions such as the presence of light, heat, water, metal powder, dissolved materials, etc. EFFECT:The troubles such as corrosion, discoloration, etc. of the mechanical apparatus and product can be prevented. USE:General industrial solvent, paint remover, paint solvent, solvent for printed circuit board, etc.
