Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a product having a fabric like surface by a method wherein a transfer sheet having a foamable plastic layer formed on a substrate material thereof is fixed in a metal mold and a plastics showing flowability by heating is poured from a side of the aforementioned layer to simultaneously carry out molding and foaming of the aforementioned layer. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet having a plastic layer 13 foamable by heating formed on a film substrate material 11 thereof and, further, if necessary, having a printing ink layer provided thereto is set in injection molding metal molds 2A, 2B and, from a side of the foamable plastic layer 13, a plastics 31 showing flowability by heating is injected to simultaneously carry out the molding and the foaming of said layer 13 and, thereby, a molded product having a foamed plastic layer 13 obtained. Subsequently, the molded product is taken out from the metal mold after cooling and the film substrate material 11 is peeled to obtain the product having a fabric like surface. This method is suitable for molding a part having a complicated decorative surface such as, especially, a door of a furniture or an object having plural recessed and protruded parts such as an interior parts of an automobile.
