Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a nozzle suited for production of amorphous metal by forming oxidized and calcined surface layers n the inside surface side of the nozzle molded by a conductive carbonaceous material, and impregnating oxidation resistant refractory sol in the calcined surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 1 made by using a conductive carbon material such as Al2O3-C, Al2O3-BN-SiC or the like as a main raw material, adding a binder thereto and molding the same is calcined in an oxidizing atmosphere, whereby porous oxidized and calcined layers 2, 3 are formed on the inside and outside surfaces thereof. Oxidation resistant refractory sol such as SiO2 sol, Al2O3 sol is impregnated in the layers 2, 3. The nozzle 1 formed in this way has the dense structure of the conductive carbon material in its inside, and the sruface layer parts 2', 3' contg. oxidation resistant refractories are provided on the inside and outside surfaces.
