Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the bonding strength between steel pipe and concrete by a method in which a concrete mixed with an expanding agent in more than a specific ratio to cement weight is cast into a steel pipe and then specific components present in the expanding agent are reacted under a high-temperature and high-pressure condition.
CONSTITUTION: In the first place, a concrete 2 to which is added an expanding agent in an amount of 5wt% or more on the basis of cement weight is cast into a steel pipe 1 with given diameter and length, whose end part is reinforced as needed, molded into a cylindrical form with a given thickness by a centrifugal method, and then cured by steam under ordinary pressure. Then, the concrete is cured for certain hours under a high-temperature and high-pressure condition that CaO and MgO present in the said expanding agent can be reacted in order to increase the bonding strength between the steel pipe 1 and the concrete 2. Thus, composite concrete pillar is easily completed, having a great bonding strength between the steel pipe and the concrete.
