Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify circuits and to achieve a device having flexibility on time division line setting, by introducing a basic frame construction and a multiframe construction in a TDMA communication system. CONSTITUTION:The device provides time slot counters 11, 21 for transmission and reception, multiframe counters 12, 22 for transmission and reception, a transmission traffic burst forming circuit 14, a reception traffic burst processing circuit 24, channel buffers 15, 25 for transmission and reception, and time slot controlling circuits 13 and 23 for transmission and reception. From MXN sets of time slot groups on a matrix in which the basic frame consisting of N sets of time slots and the multiframe consisting of M sets of the basic frames are combined, required R sets of time slots are selected according to regular selection pattern indicated wth a line discrimination number designated for effery channel port, and a time division line is set to perform control so that the channel port of RD/MT (bit/second) can be stored.
