Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the collision of burst and to increase the utilizing rate of satellites, by giving and transmitting the display of station with the highest priority to a reservation burst in which an earth station having information to be desired for transmission describes the reservation slot number, in a satellite communication line. CONSTITUTION:The same transmission frequency is used from a plurality of earth stations 2-4 for a communication satellite 1 and the line is split into time slot mounting the unit information and communication between stations is made while multiple usage. Reservation bursts 12-14 are transmitted in time division to outgoing channels 5-7 from the stations 2-4. The reservation burst consists of the reservation slot number 34 of desired information and the display 35 of the station with the highest priority, and this reservation burst is received via an incoming channel 8 from the satellite 1 for each earth station. Each earth station receives the display 35 and calculates the priority of the station itself according to the predetermined rule and makes the slot assignment of the station itself independently and the the display of the station with the highest priority is moved to each station according to the predetermined rules. Thus, the collision of the bursts is prevented and the line utilization rate can be increased to 100% instantly.
