Abstract

PURPOSE:In a making device of a pallet transfer apparatus for a free-flow conveyor, to simplify the apparatus structually by utilizing a driving force caused at time of transferring a pallet in order to change direction, and eliminating the need of a driving source as an air cylinder. CONSTITUTION:On receiving a signal for transferring pallet 1 from a conveyor 2 into a circulating conveyor 3, a mirror 22 rotates, a driving source sprocket 23 rotates counterclockwise, and a transfer chain 26 is moved in direction (a). At this time a main body 7 of a pallet transfer apparatus is not moved, but a conveying chain 6 is moved in an arrow (c) direction of receiving the pallet 1. The motor 22 stops when receives a completion signal of receiving pallet 1, and then reverses itself. At this time the main body 7 of the transfer apparatus moves in direction (b) on a rail 21 with wheels 2, but a steel ball 34 of an elevating shaft 32 is run on a convex portion of a plate cam 33 to raise the shaft 32. Accordingly, a pallet receiving tray 31 lifts the pallet 1 on the chain 6 upward. Secondly, a cam follower 46 is guided by a grooved cam 47, a rack 41 slides, and the pallet 1 is turned in a 180 deg. arc through a swirl gear 40.
