Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a transfer apparatus for using the same driving source both for driving for receiving and feeding out a pallet and for running the transfer apparatus itself in transferring the pallet onto the opposed circulating conveyor at the terminal end portion of a free-flow conveyor. CONSTITUTION:On receiving a signal for transferring a pallet from a conveyor 2 onto a circulating conveyor 3, a deceleration motor 24 rotates, a driving source sprocket 25 rotates counterclockwise, and a transfer chain 28 is moved in direction (a). A main body 7 of a pallet transfer apparatus is not moved as a stopper plate 32 contacts a stopper 30 on the right side, but a driving force transmitting sprocket 16 is turned clockwise by operation of a friction brake, and a conveying chain 6 is moved in an arrow (c) direction of receiving the pallet 1 through a transmitting device. The motor 24 is reversed when receives a completion signal of receiving.
