Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from accumulating on a fur brush roll by collecting the toner which has been utilized for development, to form a picture which is free from fog or edge effect by said step, and also to prevent the toner from scattering from the roll. CONSTITUTION:Toner particles 20 of a hopper 21 are carried by gravity, and adhere to a feed roll 23. After that, thickness of the layer is controlled by a doctor blade 22, and the toner particles of a prescribed quantity are shifted to a developing fur brush roll 24 from the roll 23. The roll 24 is conductive, to which bias voltage is applied, and the toner particles 20 are attracted electrostatically from the roll 23. After development, the toner particles 20 are slapped down mechanically by a collecting roll 26 provided with a blade made of aluminum, and are returned to the roll 23 over again.
