Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the joint between a scraper and a hopper and make cleaning or the like easy by forming the scraper and the side plate of the hopper into the same body, and pivotally supporting a screw hopper through the side plate of the hopper by means of the bearings fixed to the machine frame.
CONSTITUTION: The slurry supplied from a hopper 9 is pressed between a rotating pressure roll 3 and a filter drum 1, flows into a filter drum 1, is received in a receiving trough 22, and sticks on the outside circumferential surface of the drum 1. The solids moved to the pressed cake discharge side are scraped into a pressed cake feed hopper 6 by bringing a scraper 5 which is one piece with the hopper 6 into pressure contact with the outside circumferential surface of the drum 1 by adjusting the degree of the pressure contact in adjusting the tensile force of a spring between an arm 10 and a lever 12 provided to the machine frame through vertical movement of the screw rod 15. These solids are fed under pressure into a dropping cylinder 20 by a screw 16 supported pivotally by means of the bearings fixed to the machine frame so as to turn the hopper 6 with the screw shaft as center.
