Abstract

PURPOSE: To have an accurate straight motion by allowing part of the whole volume of a permanent magnet to mate with the base formed in magnetic substance and moving the traveling member straight by meahs of utilization of the reactive force generated when the magnet, rotating, magnetizes the base.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 48 and a reduction gear 49 in direct coupling with this motor are mounted on the oversurface 41a of a slider 41. From this reduction gear 49, the drive shaft 50 protrudes into inside the slider 41. A permanent magnet 51 formed in a thick disc is fixed to this drive shaft 50 coaxially by any known means. The magnetic flux emitted by the magnet 51 magnetizes the guide race 42b of the base 42, which gives the reactive circumferential force to the magnet 51 rotating. Amoung this reactive force, the x-axis component is canceled and the y-axis component left solely works to provide accurate straight motion.
