Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to effectively utilize an exhaust gas by a method wherein an exhaust gas outlet port of a heat-treating furnace is connected to a combustion gas inlet port of a non-oxidizing gas generator, in a heattreating system wherein a non- oxidizing gas generated by a non-oxidizing gas generator is fed into a heating furnace and a body to be heated is heated in the non-oxidizing gas atmosphere thus formed. CONSTITUTION:The non-oxidizing gas generated by the non-oxidizing gas generator 10 is fed into the heating furnace 1 through a feed pipe 12, and the body to be heated which is placed in the heating furnace 1 is heated without oxidation in the non-oxidizing gas atmosphere. The exhaust gas generated in the heating furnace 1 discharged from a combusition space 4 through the exhaust gas outlet port 6, then it is passed through a CO controller by the sucking action of a blower and is cooled by water cooling type collers 14, 15. The thus cooled exhaust gas is deprived of condensed water by a separator 16 and is fed to the non-oxidizing gas generator 10 after passing through a dehumidifying column 17.
