Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase both the operability and the durability of a cassette tape recorder, by mainly using a rotary motion instead of the conventional slidably contacting motion for a cassette loading/unloading device. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette C is pressed toward an arrowed direction (1) to be inserted into a cassette holder 2, the tip of the cassette C presses a control lever 4 to turn a spring 21 toward an arrow (2). Thus the energy is stored to the spring 21. The lever 4, if turned, engages a release lever 5 which is attached to a release lever support plate 9 to turn the lever 5 toward an arrow (3) and to make it opposed to a holding plate 3. In this moment, the cassette C is substantially inserted into the holder 2, and the lever 4 is sent back slightly by the energy stored at the spring 21 when the pressing force is released. Thus the levers 4 and 5 plus the plate 9 are turned all together. Then the lever 4 touches the plate 3, and accordingly the plate 3 is turned toward an arrow (4). As a result, the engagement between the holder 2 and the plate 3 is released, and the holder 2 is turned up to the 2nd position. Thus the performance is started for a magnetic tape.
