CONSTITUTION:A magnetic video recording device consists of a VTR1 and a reproduction unit 2 separately, and the VTR1 is provided with a tape loading operation lever 1a, a fast-forward and rewind operation lever 1b, an ejector key 1c, etc., to obtain a recording function mainly, and is coupled with a camera for use. The reproduction unit 2, on the other hand, is provided with various operation button 2a to perform various operations electrically when coupled with the VTR1. During photography, the VTR1 is put in fast-forward or rewind operation by a simple mechanical switching mechanism, and during reproduction, it is operated under electric control. Thus, the lightweight, small-sized VTR is obtained and its operability is improved.
