Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the potential of a receptor surface simultaneously for photoreceptor charging characteristic adjustment as to each separated light with which each photoreceptor area is irradiated, by arranging photoreceptor surface potential sensors in the width direction of the photoreceptor while the sensors are made to face the photoreceptor surface. CONSTITUTION:Under the exposure part 4 of a photoreceptor drum 1, three photoreceptor surface potential sensors S1, S2 and S3 are provided on a holding member 22 and drum area surfaces 11, 12 and 13 of those sensors S1 (blue), S2 (green) and S3 (red) are irradiated with separated light beams LB (blue), LG (green) and LR (red).
