Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive a miniaturization and cost reduction of a spectroscope, by a construction of separating a spectrum from sample into its spectral components utilizing a characteristic of a single mode light fiber. CONSTITUTION:Pulse light generated at a luminous part 1 is condensed at an optical system 13 and is irradiated to a measuring sample 14 and then, characteristic luminescence of the sample is generated from the sample 14. An emission spectrum from the sample 14 is condensed at an optical system 15 and condensed spectrum is irradiated to an incidence opening 16a of a single mode light fiber 16. The spectrum having a time lag in accordance with the wavelength of incident luminous spectrum is emitted from an exit light opening 16b of the fiber 16 and this spectrum is converted photoelectrically by a light sensor 18 and then, is observed or recorded by an indication and recording apparatus 19.
