Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A dye of formula I (R is -COCH3, -CO2CH3, -CO2C2H5; M is Na, K, NH4).
EXAMPLE: The compound of formula II.
USE: A dye dyeing polyamide such as nylon light-and weathering-fast black.
PREPARATION: For example, the coupling reaction between the diazo compond of 4-nitro-2-aminophenol-6-sulfonic acid and 1-acetylamino-7-naphthol, 1-carbomethoxyamino-7-naphthol and/or 1-carbethoxyamino-7-naphthol is conducted in water or an aqueous organic solvent under neutral to alkaline conditions to give 0,0'-dihydroxymonoazo dye. Then, a cobalt donor such as cobalt acetate is made to act on the product to give the compound of formula I.
