Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to precipitate and separate as well as to collect a solute or a fine particle in an aqueous suspension more rapidly by providing a fragmentary curved blade for preventing traverse shaking of stagenant water in a horizontal drum to a ring like barrier plate in said drum.

CONSTITUTION: When raw water is supplied into a rotary drum 1 through a hose H and an introducing pipe 15, said raw water is introduced to a flange 15A of the pipe 15 to be downardly flowed to a radius direction of the drum 1. In this case, raw water is discharged to a bottom part of the drum 1 while fallen along a space between vibration control plates 15a. Subsequently, said raw water is passed a gap between an outer peripheral end of the flange 15A and an inner peripheral end of a spiral blade 6 to be flowed to a lefthand direction in a figure as well as raised toward a direction near to an axial line of the drum 1. In this case, because the drum 1 is always rotated to a direction R, stagnant water W in the drum receives external force F in a traverse direction. But, traverse shaking of water W is inhibited by the plate 15a and a vibration control plate 18 between each ring like barrier plates 17 as shown by an arrow a and the water W is held in a relatively static condition. Therefore, a floated solid component in the raw water is easily precipitated.
