Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the loss of energy and achieve saving of energy by giving the inertia directing downward spirally along the inside surface of a cylinder to the liquid to be treated.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid to be treated having pressure energy is strongly throttled in the connection part between an influent port 13 and lead-in path 12 and the greater portions of energy are converted to velocity energy, so that the liquid falls down in the lead-in path 12 and spiral channel 11 by becoming the water flow flux of a fixed section having inertia. It becomes the spiral water flow flux and falls down on the inside wall surface of the cylinder toward an opening 14 by the action of centrifugal force through an annular spacing of the same width as that of the spiral channel. In this opening 14, a part of solid foreign matter is removed. The remaining liquid to be treated rises upward along the axis toward the effluent port 15 of the accept pipe while swirling in vortexes. While the solid matter passes through these vortexes, the solids in the vortexes on the outer side move toward the cylinder wall furface or the separation including the movement of the solid foreign matter from the inside vortexes to the outside vortexes is accomplished.
